Are scabs good or bad??!

Question: I fell down last tuesday and scraped up my wrist and shoulder. (Ouch!) Well my wrist is fine and had already made a scab over my wound but my shoulder hasnt. It IS dry and kind of a brown-redish around the edges, but no scab....is this good or bad??

Ps. The middle of the wound is almost exactly the same color as my skin is.

scabs are a good thing, tehey pritect ur wound frm getting harmful germs, but because u said that the middle of the wound is about the color of ur skin, well, trhat means its getting better.. so there is notin to worry about.. and normally, when wounds start to heal, they begin to itch, if its itching, try to resit, but we all kno its hard, so.. its normal. hope this helped enough 2 b best answer!!

scabs are a good thing, they mean your body has clotted the blood from the injury. if your injury has no scab, it can get infected because it is an opened passage for bacteria and germs to get into your blood flow. if you have not clotted, you should go and see a doctor. good luck with it, and GET WELL SOON!!!

ps. you may want to put something on the injury on your shoulder, before it gets infected. prehaps try some antibacterial and then cover it with a large bandage or gause. keep it clean and dont pick at it.
pps. the skin colored stuff in the middle is probably skin that did not get hurt in your fall. this is just regular, unharmed skin.

Scabs are good. They are the body's way of healing.
The second wound you describe is just another way of healing. That one probably needs some antibacterial and a bandage over it to help it heal.
Don't pick at the scabs or you'll get scars.
