Chest pain, Neck and arm hurt, tingling, numb, but heart attack was ruled out...!

Question: Now I'm really confused I have had acid reflux and though untreated I got some meds the other day from the clinic when I went for another problem and told her about the chest pain - my heart is fine. I've been taking reflux meds and my stomach feels better but I still have the chest pain every night like clockwork. What's wrong with me?

Give the reflux meds a chance to start working, prevacid is a good one. You may also need something for anxiety. Stress is a huge pain in the chest! I My husband takes stuff for both things, he says they help him. Take slow, deep full breaths and exhale slowly and fully, close your eyes & lay down or sit in a relaxed position with no distractions in the room whenever you begin to feel it. Good luck.

a 'panic attack' shares many symptoms with heart attack and cardiovascular problems. And despite the name, panic doesn't always occur - sometimes it's simply a physical response to a stressful situation or a stressful time in one's life.

Read up on this and talk to a doctor. Anti-anxiety medication might be helpful.

Your meds could be causing bad side effects with your blood, possibly causing abnormal clotting. sounds like stroke symptoms to me. especially if the tingling is on the left side of your body.

Could be angina, or a migraine. a migraine does not always cause a headache. but my first guess would be angina. But you should have your doctor check you out closely, as some heart conditions do not always have the same symptoms. Your reflux could even be causing the problem.

It takes acid reflux medicines about a week to kick in. It probably is acid reflux and it does feel like a heart attack. Be sure you don't eat or drink anything within a couple of hours before going to bed. Might want to suck on peppermints to relieve some of the pain. Don't know why it works but it does.
