Does anyone know what this pill is?!

Question: A friend of my boyfriends gave him a "great pain killer" but he doesn't want to take it until he knows for sure what it is. It's white and a little smaller than an aspril. It has the initials mp(the letters are joined together) and the numbers 717 underneath. Does anyone have any idea what this is? I can't seem to find anything online about it.

I hope this helps, I pulled the information from a site I use (Director of Human Resources) at work called www.drugs.com I have included the full site below for your use.

Drug Name
Tramadol Hydrochloride
Strength(s)
50 mg
Imprint(s)
MP 717

A good pill

yes take it baby, your going to like it.

he is going to like it too

It's a pain pill in the acetaminophen family, it's called Tramadol.

http://www.drugs.com/mtm/tramadol.html <- This website has some very imprortant information about this drug. Please, read it before you boyfriend takes any.

He shouldn't take it. Who knows what it could be.

The pill is Tramadol HCl 50mg by MUTUAL PHARMACEUTICAL Imprint MP 717 , white, round, film-coated

I think it's Tramadol. http://www.drugs.com/imprints.php?action...

It is a pain killer and sounds like Tramadol
Take a look at this:

Good luck :)

According to a pill identifier wizard program I found online, it's tramadol. It is a pain reliever, anti-inflammatory catagory.

I dont know a good pill or something??

It is a derivative of saltpeter. It is a chemical type of castration given to sex offenders. I hope he takes it.

hmm, dosnt sound like anything ive taken. your bf should have asked his buddy wtf it is before accepting. To be on the safe side just dont take it at all. go find some good ole V's er sumthin.

call a pharmacy and ask or you can go to the library and look i a pdr physicians desk reference.make sure he is not allergic to the ingredients and what the side effects are.

How do you know this person is really his friend? It may not be good at all, anyway a friend is not a doctor. Only physicians are allowed to legally dispense medication as they see fit. My advice if he hasn't taken it yet don't take it. If he has get him checked with a doctor, you don't know what it may be. I would do this quickly he could be allergic or become addicted to the pill.

Who cares throw it away. Did he not even ask what it is? Stupid stupid stupid to take something that a friend's friend gave you.Where do I send flowers for the funeral? Actually I do know what it is. Take my word on it THROW IT AWAY.

I have no idea what it is, but don't let him take it. Isn't it kind of an obvious thing?... don't take other people's meds, unless you want to die... He doesn't even know what it is! That makes it even more dangerous, like maybe he could be allergic to an ingredient in it and if he has some bad reaction nobody will know what to do cause they won't know what he took. Lol, worst case scenario but I suggest he NOT take it.

The pill is called MP 717 Tramadol.
This pill is perscribed to people who either had/have a major surgery, cancer, or chronic pain.
It is a 50 MG pill, so I don't know how he will react to it.
Best bet it to do some research on:
"MP 717 Tramadol"
Hope I helped :)

Sounds like generic Ultram (tramadol). It's a non-narcotic synthetic opiate.

hmm..
http://www.drugs.com/imprints.php?action...

that might help..
if not go to www.drugs.com and go to pill i dentification and it will ask you questions on what it looks like and shows pictures too..

Go to Merck Manual. If you can't get it online, then go to a library. You'll find it in the reference section. Make sure it is fairly up to date. This book will give a excellent picture of your pill and any writing on it, etc. If it is an oval pill with some writing on it in red, you will see a photograph of that oval pill with some writing on it in red, exactly as you are holding it in your hand. There is an index, and if you can't find it in the book, ask the librarian to help you. DON'T take anything that you are absolutely sure of what it is and what it can do to you. Good luck.

if it's tramadol..don't take it!!!!!!!!!

Tramadol Hydrochloride - also know as: Ultram
This is a prescription only pain killer... not only is it illegal, but very dangerous to take someone else's presciption medications.? Do Not Take!?
This medication has been known to cause seizures, as well as a ton of other complications... Talk to a doctor before taking.
