My wife has a pain...?!

Question: My wife is expeirencing a slight pain in the right side of her chest. It hurts her when she bends over or takes a deep breath. She says that it feels like a muscle or a bone. And in the morning it is excrutiating. She heard that a bad gullbladder will make your chest hurt...is this true? I told her that it is, but its usually in your back, between your shoulder blades. Anyone?

You might have her take a long hot bath and maybe massage her back with oil while she's in the tub of hot water. If she feels better after she's out of the tub and cooled down, it may be a soft tissue injury or irritation that'll heal in time on its own. If there's no relief, it might very well be in her best interests to be taken in to be seen by a Medical Professional..STAT!! The unknown in medical conditions can be risky business!! Good Luck to your Wife

sounds like broken boobs

It could be a number of things. It could be the nerves or muscles it could be the membrane surrounding the lung....

If it continues or worsens suddenly, take her to the doctor.

please go see a doctor for professional help, make her take it easy until this is resolved, eat healthy and take advil, aleve or tylonal

My gallbladder hurt on the upper right side of my abdomen, sort of under the rib cage. It can radiate pain all over the area, but the most pain came from that one spot. There's lots of things she could have. One condition is costochrondritis, inflammation of the chest wall lining. I have this. It can hurt on one side, or on both sides. The first time I thought I was having a heart attack. I was told by the ER doctor that you can tell if it is muscle or bone (as opposed to lungs or heart) if you push down on the area and it hurts worse. Since the heart and lungs are under the ribs, pushing down doesn't reach them. Treatment for costochrondritis is usually NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen (or something prescribed).
It's possible it's her lungs, or something else, so she may want to see a doctor. I don't think it'd be her gall bladder, but it may be--it depends on where on the chest it's hurting.
