How can I fall asleep easier????!


Question: I can't sleep. I am NOT going to take meds. what are some other ways! I am physically tired but not mentally tired. Any suggestions????

If you have a microwavable heating pad, rest it on your eyes. MAKE SURE IT'S NOT TOO HOT!!! This calms all your nerves and knocks you out quickly.

I do this after a stressful day or when I can't sleep and this always works for me.

leave your tv on re-run shows that you've seen a million times. that's what i do so there's something to make my eyes tired but i'm not going to want to stay up and watch it since i've already seen it before.

yoga does wonders. if u look up yogayak on youtube they have this 40 min video that is very relaxing and when i did it i slept like a baby.

smoke weed and get a hair cut before you sleep

read just before you go to sleep? exercise...but not just before you sleep, do it like 2hrs before you go to sleep? have a warm milk...lol sounds gross but it really helps! or even just some sort of hot drink as long as it doesn't have caffene or too much sugar...

write all your worries out before going to bed, it could really help. or go for a walk or a run in the arvo. or just think of your body in a coma and you cant move or talk but your family and friends are around you and care about you. it really works even though it sounds weird and strange

I have answered this question so many times and my solutions have helped. If you have a TV or Radio or Stereo in your bedroom, turn them off. Keep the room dark and close your eyes and think of relaxing things. Imagine yourself stepping down into a hot tub, alone, and your body begins to feel the warmth of the water surrounding it. Feel the gentle whirls of water pounding against your body, and absorb the feeling. Imagine yourself laying on the beach and feeling the warmth of the sun, and listen to the wind and the movement of the waves splashing into shore, right in front of you. Imagine that you are painting. Imagine large and wide numbers like 8 or 3, or letters like S or E. Follow the movement of the brush painting with your favorite color. Paint slowly and watch every movement of the brush. When done with a letter or number, move on to the next one. Better than taking sleeping meds. Good luck to to you young lady. Hope these help you.

Maybe read for a bit before bed, that makes me tired... but you're all ready tired.

Get absolutely everything out of your head. Don't think about anything... don't even think about not thinking about anything. Then, start at your toes and really focus on looking at your body with your eyes closed. Focus on your toes with your eyes closed (and remember, don't think about anything).... then very, very slowly move on from your toes.

Every time I've done this I have passed out waaay before reaching my head.
