The best thing for congestion i find (and i get it a lot because i have bad asthma and sinus problems) is the simple act of steaming. get a tub of vicks vaporub, put some in a bowl of boiling water and then put your head over it with a tea towel or towel over your head to keep the vapours in. The act of the steam and the strong vicks will clear out your system. you will have a lot of running nose and stuff but this is good - you need to get out the rubbish that is in your system and the hot vapours steam it out. Because your chest is bad, If it still continues, maybe it is worth seeing the doctor to see if it is asthma related. but it may turn out to simply be chest infection. Do you smoke? as hard as it is to stop smoking even when you are ill, it can help - i know! x

tylenol cold will help the cogestion snuffed up nose and the pain:)

You could have bronchitis/pneumonia. If so you'd have to go to the ER or call your Dr.'s office (get the answering service) to see if you need antibiotics.

Good luck.
