Isn't it ironic....?!

Question: I have worked in the medical feild for some time now. I work with patients on a daily bases, I find it amazing while talking with patients and getting a history how some of them can afford 2 or 3 packs of cigarettes a day and alcohol, yet they can't seem to clean themselves up or shower. 99.9% of them are on Medicare or Medicaid , when they could use all that money to pay their own medical bills.

Still others come in with a truck load of kids, who all by the way a sporting the latest in fashion, yet they can't support themselves. And if you have ever worked in the medical feild these are the people who rush the the Emergency Room everytime they cough o sneeze. WTF can't you take care of yourselves and handle minior medical problems at home.

My parents would laugh if I ever asked to go to the doctor or ER everytime I bumped my head or cut myself growing up.

Are we raising our kids and country to e a bunch of pussy?

Ugh, my dad had to get knee surgery a few weeks ago, and while I was sitting in the waiting room, a kid was wheeling himself around on a wheelchair, five minutes later his name was called, and he gets up and walks off, and complains he sprained his ankle when he wasnt limping AT ALL. As mean as it sounds, some kids do need to learn to suck it up.

Ive been to the ER for legitimate reasons... Chipping my olecranon (elbow), a couple of concussions from soccer and hockey, and after I got kicked by my horse to make sure my femur wasnt broken.

Well with technology advancements, everyone is getting more involved on being more dependent on machinery than on physical labor. And yes I do agree that our generations from here on out are going to end up lazier than those of generations past.

Are we raising our kids and country to be a bunch of *****? You bet, and I am guilty of it too. Kids parties have to be at play centres where there is non stop play and entertainment, they must have every electronic gizmo and update them JUST TO IMPROVE THE GRAPHICS, they no longer have chores (just introduced chores to mine and am fighting an uphill battle), the school reports sent home are epics and homes are run like democracies. This may have something to do with the fact that 50% of us are alone with our children and we feel guilty and try and make it up to them. But basically I would like to tell mine to suck it up and get over it!

quit judging.

Aggravating? yes
True? yes
Something we can fix? unlikely
