Can you give me hangover help/advice?!

Question: Just to start off, your comments saying 'don't drink' are not welcome here, I don't need to hear it right now. Anyways, I have this monster hangover, it is by far the worst I've ever experienced. I'd go into telling you my symptoms but all you fellow alcohol drinkers know what I am feeling. So I ask you, can you give me any help or advice to help cure this insane hangover? I know it takes time, and nothing is going to instantly cure it, but anything that you know will help is appreciated. Thank you.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to eat a bowl of tomato soup! Really! You know how people can't wait to have a Bloody Mary the "day after" because it makes them feel better? It's got vodka in it, therefore it puts alcohol back into the system and your sick feelings will get better. Well, eating a bowl of tomato soup will do the same thing without the alcohol. It has something to do with the acid in the tomato, and the fact that your body needs nourishment and fluid after it's bombardment with alcohol the night before. The alcohol actually depletes the water in the cells when you drink, therefore, the hangover is a direct result of a fluid and electrolyte imbalance in your cells from the alcohol. Just Imagine all the "dried up" little cells in your body who can't do their work to keep you feeling good because all their water has been drained from them. You need to rehydrate your cells to feel good again so get on with hydration! The tomato soup will get you started. Even if you loathe tomato soup, eat it anyway. You'll be glad you did. Just sit there and force it in. Keep it good and hot, crumble some saltine crackers in it and spoon it down. This isn't an IMMEDIATE help but it will get you going. The rest of the day you need to lay low and fill up with the fluids...help those poor little dried up cells! The next time you go out drinking be sure you drink plenty of WATER during the evening and right before you go to bed. It will help with the severity of the headache as long as you didn't go totally overboard. Do NOT take tylenol (acetaminophen) as some people do to help with next day hangover! Tylenol can be toxic to the liver and so can alcohol so don't add insult to injury. Heap on the fluids before and after and don't be afraid to go ahead with that tomato soup - You'll be glad you did.

drink a can or bottle of flat coke, it has to be flat but it really works, i like a massive fry up too, always does the trick for me

Water and plenty of it. Our bodies become extremely dehydrated when we drink alcohol. Pop some Tylenol and drink plenty and plenty of water. You can also try something like Propel to replace any electrolytes lost.

my roommate is a big time drinker...so in the morning..or should i say afternoon when she gets up.. i have a glass of lemonade ready with a couple of advil... she curses for sometime after but it usually comes under control... :)
hope it helps...

One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.... read more about natural remedies...
