Question: Please answer truthfully and hopefully you have some medical background. Symptom lump on roof of mouth headaches come and go at all times of day may not be linked. Any thoughts as to what this may be.

I suspect that, as you said, the headaches and lump are not related. Are you or were you a smoker or a chewer of tobacco. If so be afraid and get to the doctors. Not the typical place to find a lump and you did not indicate how big or any other qualities of it so it's hard to say. Could be a simple cyst, could be a tumor, could be cancer, I'm sure there are other possibilities. If the lump has been there longer than a month please see your doctor.
Hmm...I'm not a medical expert but I am a student of biology, and I can't really think of anything that would cause a lump to appear on the roof of my mouth. I have a bit of a lump at the top/back of the roof of my mouth, now that I check. Could it be that it's just part of your bone structure and you've never noticed it before?
