Help Me!! Nonstop Bleeding!!?!
Question: This morning I had to go to the ER my nose Kept bleeding it wouldent stop it was so bad i pinched my nose and tilted my head back and it just ran down into my stomach So leaned forward and it felt like it was just building pressure to my ears.eventually i vomited blood.aLOT. I came back from the ER. then it happend again i prolly lost about 2 quarts of blood. IT was alot. i have 2 qau strips in my nose now i think im still bleeding. ? can i die from a nose bleed? it wont stop bleeding. and the Naval hospital sent me home and told me to comback tues morning???

OK, I KNOW this sounds silly, but, get a small tampon and insert it into the nostril. This is what we do in the ambulance. Add ice to the bridge of your nose. cover the ice with a wash cloth to prevent pain. alternating. 15 min on, 15 off. NEVER tilt backwards !! Always go forward. I used to get this kind of nose bleed all the time, My mother would take a little rolled up piece of paper towel, slightly smaller than a cigarette and place it under my upper lip, near my nose. this applies pressure. You should go to a regular ER, and see about getting it cauterized. They use a silver nitrate on the vessels and poof, no more nose bleed. Don't pick at it. moisturize it with Vaseline and see your doctor.
none of them knows what they have to do.... they just read it out of book and then they kinda know what they have to do... but books dont always help...
well when i have bleeding from my nose i usually take towel and make it wet but really cold and put it over my overhead and when it kind of gets warm i make it cold again...

As long as it hasn't been continuously bleeding since this morning, you'll probably be fine.
My daughter has horrible nosebleeds and this is what works for us. Hold a cold wet washcloth over nose, while pinching it. Keep it pinched continuously for 10-15 minutes (don't let up). At the same time, put an icepack or cold rag on the back of your neck.
theres nasal spray u can get from your local pharmacy that can help stop the bleeding. But YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO A HOSPITAL maybee try go to another one alot of blood loss leads to a low blood pressure and u can faint u cant just keep bleeding please go back somewhere and get some help if they send u back ask to speak to the nursing unit manager or the director of nursing at the hospital its rediculus that they sent u back. u can get complications from your nose bleeding too much. for now DONT BLOW YOUR NOSE! DONT LIE DOWN! STAY UPRIGHT and try not to stress about it too much coz the more you stress the more your body will react. i hope all goes well
I would call another doctor and/or another hospital and ask to speak to the triage nurse. If you get the run-around, then I would call 911. It is not safe to lose too much blood, did they say the first time at the doc what the problem was? Don't feel like you are bothering them, you're health is much more important. I hope you're fine.
On another note: from Chinese medicine perspective, you have too much heat in your body, you need to eat cold foods (not temperature, such as cucumbers, ice cream, bananas, bean sprouts, grapefruit, green tea, lettuce, peppermint, tofu, tomatoes, and yogurt.

yes you could die from a nose bleed cause your lossing blood that you need and I also hate when the hospitl seends you home and dont help for shyt this one time when i was little I had a bad ear ach and they said that nothing was wrong and gave me painkillers to stop the pain and we were waiting there all night from 8pm till 7am in the morning. I stayed up all day the next day went to my doctor and he said that I had an infection. thats why I hate to go to the emergancy now.
but you need to go back to the hospitle call 911 now!!!!

Cayenne pepper can help to clot and stop excessive bleeding. With food, or by itself if your daring enough.
When its bleeding don't tilt your head back (that's why you vomited), pinch your nose and tilt it forward even if it feels bad. You probably wont die but there could be serious problem.

Some people have capillaries that are close to the surface of their skin, Sometimes these people, even if they, blow their noses too hard, they'll start bleeding.
Are you on any medications? This can be a common side effect of some medication.
