How do I get rid of pulling in my calfs?!

Question: I am an active soccer player, I play almost everyday of the week with an exception of maybe two days. I have had achilles tendonitis in both ankles twice in one of them and another sort of tendonitis in the other. How can I get rid of the swelling of my ankles from the tendonitis I have had ( about 1 year ago), and how can I get rid of the pulling in my calfs after every game/practice?

Thanks!

The swelling is probably edema. Depending on your age you should be able to get rid of with lymphatic drainage massage, look here http://www.amtamassage.org/findamassage/...
for a licensed massage therapist. The tightness will require stretching your calves every morning as well as before and after exercise. Stretch with knees bent and again with knees straight.

ice will help the swelling. don't frostbite yourself though. the pulling in the calves can be loosened by standing on a step preferably a low one, stand on the ball of your foot and allow the heel to drop down. it is helpful to have a handrail to hold on to. lower the heels and you will feel a stretch all in your legs and ankles. you may also find some other stretches that may work better for you. just experiment with what will stretch out those particular muscles. hope this helps a little.

constant pressure helps i have some ace bandages made Germany but you can get them at all good Rx's they have no stretch

you need to walk not run and also eat bananas these are full of potassium which will ease the cramping
