I can't fall asleep until around 2 in the morning, HELP..?!


Question: When i go to bed around 10.30, i dont fall asleep until atleast 4 hours later!

Any advice please, i have school tomorrow and have to get up at like 7!

well, this can be a serious problem, but before considering it like a serious problem perheaps you should try some of these (those work in my case - although I can't say it happends offten to me): 1.before you go to bed drink a cup of worm milk with one or two spoons of honey; 2.shut down all the lights in your room (including leds) and live the radio on and listen to some peaceful music in a very low volume. 3. a cup of vine before you go to sleep alsow can help. 4. consult a doctor if this problem bothers you for more nights - I don't think it's something to be ashamed for. I have a kind of an opposite problem (among many other problems of course). i need somethink to keep me awake, and koffe doesn't work for me anymore!!! hope you'll get through this. I wish you well. i have these feng shui relaxation CDs that i listen to. they're a variety of different sounds, relaxing nature sounds, forest sounds, ocean sounds, and many more. try buying a calming CD with realxing, nature sounds on it. you can just put it on and it usually lasts an hour, and just pay attention to the sounds and close your eyes. you'll eventually fall asleep before the CD is over. good luck

um.............. try listening 2 soothing music or going 2 bed earlier 4 now if music dosen't work then go 2 a docter........

keep going to bed early, i am like that too and it takes awhile for me to get used to it. when you go to sleep try to stop thinking about your day what you want to do tommorrow everything, just relax your mind, everytime you want to start thinking just focus on your breathing, it takes a few tries but after a few nights it should get easier

First of all, when you fail to sleep after 30 minutes in bed, you must go up and try doing something that will not cause your arousal (not sport or action movies), but helps you relax (soft music, reading, meditation). Stop being anxious about when you will sleep. Stop drinking tea or coffee after 4.00 PM and if you sleep after returning from school stop it till weekend. You can reset your sleeping pattern at the weekend. You can choose to make your sleep one session or two sessions (afternoon sleep), but make it no more than 2 hours in the afternoon and at least 4 (better 6) hours from the time you want to go to bed. So, if you get up at 7.00 AM, either have one sleeping session from 11.00 PM or sleep from 4.00 - 6.00 PM after returning from school then go to bed again at midnight - 1.00 AM.

do not drink caffeine or have any sugar after 7 p.m

read a very boring book!!

this happens to me all the time. i get like no sleep during the week. i get like 5 or 6 hours of sleep even though i aim for much more but i cant fall asleep. when i wake upm dead but i have coffee and energy gum which help a lot. or take like an allergy pill that makes you fall asleep or a sleeping pill or just have some peanut butter it helps me fall asleep.

Milk is a natural sedative, it should help you get to sleep.
