I can't give you advice without knowing more details; is this a similiar pain to your MVA? Are you experiencing any nerve pain down your buttock into your leg and which side, any numbness?

You may have strained your lower back muscles in which case muscle relaxants would be best for dealing with the pain. I don't know what darvocets are as I am in UK.

Your disc may be herniated again which needs immediate attention if it is not to lead to permanent nerve damage. Sorry about the cost situation - luckily we don't have that issue in the UK

hope you feel better soon

is it nerve or muscle pain? is it your actual spine?? try hot and cold alternating if it is a muscle. for nerve pain, try a good deep massage. if these things dont help, you need to go get it checked out, you may have a slipped or herniated disk.

Where exaclty is the pain located in ur back? Its probably muscle pain maybe due to strain or tear....or it could be a slipped disc if its lower back pain. If its in kidney area, then it could be kidney pain.If its in shoulder area, it could be stress. If heat helps, then it sounds muscular to me. Why not search back pain in google and then maybe u can identify which pain u have. Hope it gets better soon.

Probably a pulled muscle or muscle spasms.

Hospitals have "charity cases" where you can get all or part of their fees waived. You can also set up a payment plan. A yr and a half ago, I was hospitalized 2 times in 6 weeks for 2 different reasons, one of which was kidney stones. Including my urologist fee for the stent surgery, my costs totaled over $20,000. I was unemployed, had ZERO money. However I qualified for their charity care so I didn't have to pay. That being said, going to the ER for regular medical care is NOT the way to go. ER is for EMERGENCY room. In your case, yes 4 days of pain and no relief is an emergency. Unless it is a private hospital, they cannot refuse you care.

You can take up to 800mg of ibuprofen, it's the medicinal dose, and always helps when my sciatic nerve acts up.

Besides the ER's different cost plans, there are lots of government funded clinics all across the US. There are also a lot of doctor's offices that operate on a sliding pay scale. All you have to do is bring in a pay stub, or tell them you are unemployed if you are. They will adjust the amount you pay to the amount you make. I'm sure you can find this information online or by contacting the government.

You need to do 20 minutes cold then 20 minutes off I believe. It could be a slipped disk, if so you need to see a chiropractor. This will result in muscle tightening and severe spasms. The office visit is usually about 60 dollars where i am. Be careful with the pain meds because your body will get used to them which will lead to having to take more and more then could result in accidental overdose.

You need to see a doctor, with the meds you are taking and the heat treatment, you should be feeling somewhat better. If that is out of the question, try cold therapy first and then heat.Cold only for 10 minutes and heat is only therapeutic in 20 minute time frames.I am not sure what the med darvoets
is, but a muscle relaxer would help along with the ibuprofen.

you are taking these medicines in maximum dose .
traction will be better than these drugs
heating pad is also safer
cure will take a long time and there will never be a complete relief.
