How do you get hospital tape marks off a child of 2 and a half years?!

Question: Is there some kind of secret to it? We have tried bathing and washing him, but its not working. Any suggestions? Thanks!

alcohol works fast but usually dries then skin Baby oil takes a little bit of rubbing but takes it off in 5-10 minutes and is easier on the skin

Try using a little nail polish remover on a cotton ball or swab; it should take the stuff right off :-)

baby oil works, too- isn't it awful?! Good luck!

Several things will work -

Gently rub cooking oil on it and it should bead up and come off or you could use peanut butter the same way. Peanut butter works GREAT for getting gum out of hair too!!
Use fingernail polish remover.
Use Goo-Gone - it's an adhesive remover that is available at every hardware store, kmart, walmart, etc. It works for lots of other things too. You can also try WD-40.

There is some stuff called Remove, which is a tape residue remover used in healthcare. A pharmacy like Walgreens or Osco might have some. Works great.

baby oil will do it
i used it once and it helped just fine

My friend who's a home care nurse gave me some little wipes that come in individual packets. Ask your pediatrician if you can have some. The wipes contain both ispropyl alcohol and some sort of lotion. Alcohol alone won't do it. You need the lotion ingredient also.

rubbing alcohol and cotton - may be a little kinder to a 2 year old's skin than nail polish remover. If that doesn't work, try some sand paper. (Just kidding).
