Pulled a muscle doing splits?!

Question: So, I'm able to do a left foot front splits all the way most of the time or 1or2 inches off the floor on iffy days. But, I pulled my back muscle in my left thigh doing one last Wednesday and now I'm afraid I won't ever be able to regain my flexibility. I can still touch my toes, but I used to be able to touch the floor with my palms, and now I can't do that. I know it'll take some time to heal (the muscle, that is) but will it still be possible for me to do a split? I heard something about pulling a muscle can result in not being able to do a split.

I have pulled plenty of leg muscles doing gymnastics and dance. I can still do left foot front splits, right foot front splits, and the middle splits all the way down, after I have pulled muscles. You just need to relax you leg, and slowly start doing more flexible activities until your muscle heals. I doubt their is a muscle that can result in not being able to do the splits, since so many people pull different muscles and can do flexible stuff like the splits with out a problem. Hope that helps, make sure to apply heat to your leg, that will tense the muscle then relax it.
