It sounds a lot like the beginnings of one of my migraines, sometimes it spreads down through my jaw sometimes down through the back of my neck. The more I am stressed the worse and more frequent they get, so it could be connected with stress. I have had migraines since 4th grade and have been on a myriad of medicines right now they have me on Topamax, which seems to be working beautifully. I also go to a chiropractor, he is awesome, I recommend that to anyone! I play lots of sports and he can always put me back together, especially since I'm not young anymore :) And whenever I'm in the middle of a migraine he can fix it instantly.

i've never heard this kinda pain.. could be b/c of something as random as bad tooth...
prolly should see a doctor

any dental problems? abscess?

be my girlfriend and i will make it feel better

It could be stress. I have been dealing with something similar. The feeling is like a shock on the side of my face to my jaw and it comes on suddenly and then goes away quickly. My doctor says that I carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. I've tried everything from massage, yoga, acupuncture, and medication. They work great for a day or two but the pain comes back after a while. You should see your doctor and see what is good for you.

Sounds a bit like a cluster headache, or a headache radiating from your Trigeminal (Facial) nerve which can come from your upper neck.
