My sternum hurts after messing around with my friends?!
Question: One of my friends was messing around and came over and squeezed me really hard. I was surprised at how hard he did it and i felt a sort of crack in my sternum area. If i remember correctly it is not the first time my sternum was in pain, but that was years ago when i was 12 or something and there hasnt been pain since. It hurts when i stretch, lift anything heavy, bend over, etc. It seems this is just something that will heal itself from past experiences? I'm just worried carrying my backpack will make it hurt more and maybe not heal whatever it is?

You may have either bruised or partially separated the cartilage in your sternum. it hurts like crazy and takes awhile to heal because your chest is always moving. Its sorta like getting hit in the nose really hard but not hard enough to break it.
