Travel insurance?!


Question: i broke my upper arm at the end of january and had a plate inserted , am going to spain mid may, do i need special travel insurance as i am still receiving treatment

I think it'd be best to either talk to someone at a travel insurance provider, or read their documents. I would think that whilst they will offer you regular travel insurance, they might not cover the injury or any incident that might occur because of it. Try some of the links below....

No, but you should probably get a doctors release for travel. I doubt you'll be doing your physical therapy while in Spain.

yes you will need to inform your insurance company because if you don't and you fall and break it again your insurance will be null and void because you haven't declared your injury

I sell Travel Ins. They are not going to cover anything related to your arm as it is a pre-existing medical condition and because you are still receiving treatment it is not considered medically stable, so getting travel insurance at all may be difficult. If you are still being treated for it, your doctor will probably not release you for travel and that is what the issue is going to be when it comes to getting travel ins.
