Walking Cast??!

Question: Ok so i fractured my ankle and i have been on crutches and i have been in a hard cast for about 4 weeks now. I am going to the doctors on Friday to see if i can get off the crutches and out of the hard cast. As of now the doctors say that i am going to go into a walking cast for at least 2 weeks. I was wondering if there is any possible way that a doctor would let me go rite off of the crutches and be able to start working out again. I really want to play baseball on my school team, and my coach is holding a spot for me so that when i come back i will be on the team. There are 6 games in april and 8 games in may. I was hoping that i would be cleared to play in time to play all the games in may.

Do you think this is a possibility??and
Do you think there is any way i wouldnt need a walking cast ?

Thanks for any help!

i do not recommend that you go against your doctors wishes. if you do not fully allow your leg to heal then you risk injury in the future much worse than what is going on now. waiting 2 or 3 weeks to play baseball is better than playing for a month, injuring yourself and never being able to play again. =)
don't mean to sound harsh but thats the truth!

To be honest, I don't think that you will be able to play ball until at least mid-May. Getting a walking cast is a great improvement, but it is only a part of the whole process. If not a walking cast, you might have to keep using crutches. Just remember to keep your casted toes looking good.
