My shin splints came back?!

Question: i had shin splints last year for about 6 months to the point where i couldn't break into a run.. it took them about 2 months to stop hurting. a few months later i developed achilles tendonitis beacuse i started to over-pronate & use my hips minimally. i'm going to physical therapy and im not walking as funny anymoroe but i have barley run at all and today i was jsut running back and forth from throwing the javelin and retreiving it and i started getting a shin splint pain in the front of my shins and at the spot where they were worst last year.any idea why they came back?

I stress fractured my leg in boot camp way back in the marines.... running in boots... it has come back a couple of times since and each time I have to stop running.

I have changed my running style to the Pose method of running or I think it is the same as the Chi Running method. Where you land more forward on the ball of the foot. It helps me....and I run hundreds but now I am cranking up again to blast a marathon...you might also try doing the following excercises...calf rises and writing the alphabet with your toe...over and over again then walking on your toes and walking on your heels...

maybe ur running wrong
