Should it be legal to help a person who is ill end his/her life?!

Absolutely it should be legal.
If a person is suffering with a terminal illness, and all they have to look forward to is suffering or being doped up....why would you not allow them that option? We think it is humane when we put our pets "to sleep" when they are suffering, why not the same for a human being?
That being said, if the person is suffering from depression, then that may cause them to be suicidal. They have done studies where once they treated the depression in terminally ill people, they no longer wanted to end their lives.
Ultimately, our life is our life, to do with as we choose. As long as we are of sound mind, then choosing to end our life may be a very rational decision.
No, it shouldn't be legal. I know it's hard to see someone suffer, I had a brother who was suffering and Mom told him, that she'll fight for him as long as he keeps fighting. (He couldn't talk).
Another reason it shouldn't be legal, is that God gave you life. And He is the only one that gets to choose if it's time for you to go or not. (He may still have a work for you to do even if you are very ill.) Life is precious!
Absolutely, if that person is able to make that decision. People have no problem putting pets down when they are suffering.
wow looks like you may have opened a can of worms with this question i personally believe it should be up to the person who is suffering to decide, if they are able,eg terminally ill people,etc etc this question is a hard one to answer without offending but i look at it this way if an animal is suffering we have it put out of its misery in a very humane way,therefore,why should us humans not be treated in the same way?i personally agree with euthanasia but that's just my overall opinion,and if i was to ever be in a position of suffering so much i would want to be able to die in a humane way and put to sleep,only if there was nothing that could be done for me,i would then donate my body parts and give someone else a shot at life if they were able to use the parts of me,god question,and as i said this is my personal opinion and sorry if it offends anyone but we all have our rights to our own opinions don't we.
This is a hard question to answer. I think life begins as a baby learning how to exist in this world and as you get older or start to get ill - its all still part of life. Life is different for every person but life starts when your born - until you take your last breath. For someone to cut there life short by ending his/her own life, isnt getting what there whole life was/supposed to be about. Thier life not only mattered to themselves but also to others and thats also important to remember when fighting for the right to live or the right to die.
If the person is of a sound mind, before the illness really kicks in absoutely they should have the right to doctor assisted suicide, we don't like our animals to suffer so why should we? Having a doctor assist would also stop people from blowing their brains out for their families to find.
