Back support?!
Question: I want to buy a back support. The type that goes around you ,and it fastens in the front with velcro .I find these very good for low back pain ,but i have mislaied mine .Any ideas where i can look and order one please .I am in the UK ..

I have one, but did not buy it! It was supplied by the Physiotherapist and I was told when I was allowed to wear it! Wearing a support allows the back muscles to atrophy, waste away, so I am only allowed to wear it for lifting and driving! If you need a back support, then you should see your GP, get them to refer you to Physiotherapist and they will assess you and if they think you need one, give you one free of charge. Best of Luck
You can also start today doing some back exercises that will strengthen your back so you won't need the support...lay on the floor on your tummy. Put your hands, clasped, under your chin. Now raise your chin and arms up to about 6 inches off the floor. Go back down and do it again. Every week add one more to your count. My back pain is completely gone and my muscles are very strong now...
