OK that's no problem, when you are sitting at the desk your knee is constantly being bent and there is to working it out until you get up and walk. also when you used to run could also have a fracture in how well your knees perform. the best way that I have found to get rid of the pain is to soak in a hot bath tub and before you go to sleep place a pillow under the problem knee, to where it is slightly elevated and then that is going to help out the blood flow and in return stop the pain in your knee

maybr it could be artritis but im not for sure i doubt it its just your joints have something wrong my mom coplains about hers at night!

Its called Resless Leg Syndrome. My uncle is exactly like that too. Talk to your doctor and make sure that the symptoms ae the same. It can be treated though.

your just getting old. it's that simple

ok... try this first
1) take 2 tylonal and night
if that doesn't work then try....
2) get back on that track and start running

most likely growing pains, if it doesn't go away though, you should consult a Doctor:)
hope you feel better:)

Maybe because you are so sore and the different position of your body feels awkard with your knee.

It's just lack of movement. The knee is very sensitive it needs to be moves around and twisted a lot. When your sitting at your test just move your knee around a lot and maybe take a break at lunch go for a run or walk. And especially stretch. When your sleeping the knee is lying flat putting more pressure on it, and not being active is hard on the knee. Try putting a pillow under your knee and also try the exercises.

I have heard that changes in weather and atmospheric pressure cause the cartiledge in the knee to swell, or something along those lines

it may be your mattress because the way you lie can effect the pressure applied to your joints try turning you mattress over and is it dont work try a docter see if he can give professional advice !!! hope i helped

Your knee sounds like a muscle strain, or a weakness. That's why when you lie down its stretching the muscle..You need to do Aqua exercise until it gets stronger. Also get it x rayed.
Best wishes
