Anyone else suffer this?!

Question: I have something wrong with my stomach. It is not IBS and nothing serious because I have gone to the doctor. They said to get tested for an ulcer, but according to the symptoms for an ulcer, it doesn't fit me. I am just curious if anyone else suffers this and what you do to feel better. Basically, it's like having gut-rot constantly. I can't eat anything with any flavor because it makes me feel sick. It's a nauseating, but not overwhelmingly. It's more like I just need to make myself throw up, because it won't happen naturally. I take zantac, and sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. Once in awhile I get a fever and chills for a couple days along with it. I suffered with it really bad in 2002 and lost almost 60 pounds. The doctors found nothing wrong and first gave me lexapro for anxiety which did nothing and then told me to try zantac with seemed to work then and then it went away for a few years. Any one have this problem?

I'd go see an internal doctor or a doc that specializes in the intestines (the name of the kind of doc eludes me at the moment)...

But you can have food intolerances or allergies that you don't know about. Do you get diarrhea at all? So you may be eating something you're not aware of at all. Don't trust doc's food allergy tests, they almost tell us nothing at all. You have to try reducing things. Like try milk for awhile: switch to all rice milk products and see if that helps. Or switch to rice breads and skip wheat for awhile and so on. And write down how you feel.

Another thing: It could be Candida. Some doctors don't acknowledge this. You may need to go on a Candida-diet (look it up) it fees off sugar and it's an overproduction of YEAST that causes a number of problems like food intolerances, stomach aches/bloat, diarrhea, dry skin, depression and so on. (Look up Candida and yeast or Candida diets and get a book from the library on it).

You also may need a really good DIGESTIVE enzymes. Try Source Natural's Daily Enzymes: for milk protein, sugar and so on. That will help cure your acid reflux problem without Zantac.

Keep your PH levels normal by eating asparagus at least 2x per week.

Other symptoms: you could have hyperthyroidism (I would get my thyroid checked if I were you and look up hyperthyroidism symptoms). That goes along with the getting sick often, stomach issues, anxiety, losing a lot of wieght and so on!

That might be that you have an anxiety disorder. Have you had a panic attack recently, like did something bad happen that made you really nervous.
You see, I had something similar.
I had a panic attack in the summer, from the fear that I might have tapeworm( I didn't) so I got so scared even after I went to the doctor and all that I could barely eat for two weeks. I mostly ate saltine crackers and drank sprite. If I ate something with taste I would vomit and I'd be shaking and could barely sleep.
So it might be that.

Have you had your gull bladder checked? Sounds similar to what I went through. Pain in your back?

Ulcers are funny things! My Mother had one and first they thought it was gall stone, then liver and eventually another Doc called it straight! She took one pill and all those horrid symptoms vanished. Seems it was caused by a nice bacteria living in her stomach, yet is burrowed its way through the lining of her stomach and set up camp. As we are not clones, the symptoms of Ulcers are very different for each individual, so that is why you need to be checked out. All this suffering just for a test and a pill, silly if you do not have it done. Best of Luck

I do have most of your symptoms and I've been to doctors, and had to colonoscopy/endoscopy by a gastro doc. I suffer from depression, and my symptoms are twice as bad when it's that time of the month, that's when I'm compelled to throw up, I can't help myself. I also get horrible stomach aches and I do have food allergys, take a lot tums, zantac etc. No one knows why. I can't eat melons, bell peppers, onions, basil, crackers and more. I'm also lactose intolerant and when I eat ice cream it comes right back up. When I eat my stomach blows up and I get a lot of pain. I've quit telling drs about it because they don't seem to help. you are not alone. I have fibromyalgia too as well as depression.
