Question: I drank 2 beers about an hour ago, I'm prescribed vicodin (5mg) for pain from a bad car accident i was in about a week ago. Is it ok to take one now? How long should i wait?

No, it's not ok. Not unless you want to lay down, take a nap and never wake up. You need to wait twelve hours to be on the safe side.
Some people will tell you sure, go ahead and indeed, they might be fine. But if you have no tolerance built up against narcotics you need to be very careful. Narcotics and alcohol just don't mix well.
