Wow none of these sound too right. Warm water does not sound like a good idea. If it is just a sun burn the vinager soaked paper towel and lay over all the areas and let soak for a long while.
The put a little bit of alchol as long as the skin is not open to draw out more heat then aloe vera gel to cool it.
If it is a stove burn soak a paper towel in aloe or aloe vera gel leave for a while concidering it does not need medical attention. This will take the heat right out.
Never put butter or mayo that is dumb
well the way I was told was to run warm water over it, at first it hurts (seems to burn worse) but then the burning sensation goes away completely.
The best way is with very cold clean water ( ice if necessary). If the burn is too deep you will need an anesthetic and i would not be foraging around for a folk remedy.
use a tea bag, seep it in hot water (like u were making tea) 1-2 mins and take it out of the water and apply to area make sure its not hot but should be warm.
Apply toothpaste or hold the burnt portion under cold water. Traditionally in India they applied mustard oil to the affected part.
