Short cast, it is SO UNCOMFORTABLE and i cant stop crying?!
Question: The doctor told me it was either a really bad sprain or a fracture, so they put a short cast on this morning. I feel claustrophobic and I hate not being able to roll my ankle or anything. I can't get comfortable and I can't imagine having this on for 3 more weeks. How in the world am I supposed to get through this?

I fractured my 5th metatarsal and am in a fibrecast now.I know how you feel about not rolling the ankle and stuff(plus I need to use crutches to get to school and stuffs!!) Dont worry,you'll survive though ! I made a list of things to look forward to when the cast can be removed,at least it keeps me happier.I hope you recover soon !
REMEMBER, this is not forever..it too shall pass..it could be worse...and stop whining..sheesh, you must be kidding...right? Especially with all of the people who have no medical insurance and can't afford to even SEE a doctor!! Buck up kiddo!! It'll be all over soon enough, so make the best of it and milk the situation for all it's worth......."hey, can someone get me some ice cream with chocolate syrup on it, just the way I like it...hey, can someone do my homework for me, the pain is making me feel kinda uneducated today....." See what I mean? May You Recover Quickly...
Think of how it would be if you had a longer cast on you. Then maybe you can consider yourself lucky.
im in a cast that goes from under my ampit all the way down both legs to my toes. You need to like, calm down. i was the same was (except my saddness was more like anger)
