Working out during injury?!

Question: Ok , so about 4 weeks ago i fractured my ankle playing basketball. Im goin to the doctor on friday to see what is next, hopefully get the hard cast off, and get a walking cast on. Now since i fractured my ankle all i've been doing is sitting at home being lazy and eating junk.If i get a walking cast on am i allowed to start working out? Because as of now i am on the school baseball league and when im cleared to play i want to be in shape and as of now im currently not. Im 14 years old ,130lbs, and 5'5ish. Even if i am ready for baseball do you think i should start to work out anyways to try and get skinnier ??

If you need any details ask because i will be loking at the question every 10 mins.

Thanks for your help!

I think that maybe light exercise not on your foot would be ok.. But try to go on a healthy diet. Its not such a good idea to put pressure on your foot because if you do u might damage something and end up not playing in the game at all! so take care

I personally think that you are way too worried about your physical condition, for your age!

All you need to do is heal...eat better, and you can do sit ups, maybe buy a pedal bike, use weights...it takes time, so there isn't much you can do...
