Expired pain meds at walmart?!

Question: I filled a rx for Fentanyl patches (12.5 mcg) last night at Walmart. It's way out of my way, but another drug I picked up was on their $4 list; so I thought it would be worth the drive (it's 30 miles out of my way round trip). Well; when I got home I realized that one of the boxes of patches are expired. Of course Walmart said to just bring them back in and they'll trade them out. Don't they owe me SOMETHING for my time and inconvience?!?! It's dangerous to give someone an expired drug and they should be held accountable for it!

You should take them back. And I do beleive that Walmart does owe you something for the screwup it was their fault, but good luck with getting them to give up anything. Let me know if they do.

Look, what are you going to do ... sue them for this?? Just go over and have them replace it. It's not a big deal!!!

It is their duty to ensure all their products are not expired, and they should compensate you, but they won't. Give this one up, you'll be much happier if you do because Wal-Mart would rather hire someone to fight you if you ask for compensation than give you money for gas.

callem up and explain what you just wrote here and good luck on getting something they should owe you somethin but idk what.

Your only chance of getting anything is to write the corporate office. You might get a few coupons, a small gift certificate or something. the best part of it is the letter or email will allow you to vent. If it's not expired by more than 6 months I would have just used the patches.
