Auto Accident Settlement.....?!
Question: I was wondering how long do you have before you have to settle.
I was in an accident about 8 months ago, they totalled my car and I have a small tear in my rotator cup. It only hurts when I work out, but I take a pain releiver, and that seems to do the trick.That is about it, I decided not to get surgery because the Doctor gave me a time frame between 2 days and 6 months that I would not be able to lift weights. I am still waiting to hear something from State Farm. I have an attorney, only because they tried to settle with me for 250.00, and I am pretty sure I should be able to get more, I am sure not much more, but it kind of made me mad that they would not go over 250.00. I am sure it could be at least 500.00.
I went to the hospital afterwards.Was given some pain pills for the immediate pain I had in my neck. Went to Doctor a few times and got a cortisone shot in my shoulder. Had a MRI done, and discovered the small tear.

I am no attorney but deal with PI attorneys and with an objective finding on an mri and a totaled care you should get considerably more than $250...if it is not your fault. Ask your attorney what he thinks the case is woth. He should be able to look at a doctors report and the accident report and give you a number if he is any good.
