Broken foot help please?!

Question: Well its actually a fractured base of a metatarsel (the fifth one), and I can walk but it hurts, sort of a numb pain but its not really big so its doable. I injured it on Monday afternoon so is it bad to be walking on it so soon. I have crutches so I don't have to walk on it.

I'm 15.

After several injuries to my feet i can honestly say that yes the crutches will help for long distance also if you are in school take the to avoid ppl standing on your foot but do not rely on them you need to get normal movement back into your foot asap. There will be a little pain and at night sleep with you foot raised (on pillows) to just above your hip. This will drain any swelling. Im not sure you should have a tuba grip on it i would have though it bets to let the sweling and brusing come out but if you do wear one certainly do not wear it night.

Not quite sure that a doctor could do much for you in your circumstance. You probably don't have to use crutches, unless you are walking on the other foot in a weird way, because the extra stress could injure the other one. But basically, don't run around, stay off it when you can, and it should be okay.

how would you like us to help you?
tell you to get a doctor? make sure not to make it worse? give you comforting words that you will be just fine and everything will be ok?

just to be safe i would stay off it, use the crutches as much as possible, your 15 so your bones are not fully developed yet. Give it time now so you won't have bigger problems later.

don't take advice go to doctor
