First off; I'm SOOO sorry! I have RSD in my entire right leg and both feet. I'm 23 and have had it since August 07. I work full time. What meds are you on? Are you seeing a pain clinic? If you are; you need to change meds are seek new treatment. Have you tried nerve blocks?? I am going through a series of 6 of them right now. They aren't pleasant but they give me hours of NO pain and that is AMAZING. I also take Topamax for help with the nerve pain, Fentanyl Patches for pain, Flexeril for muscle relaxatant (helps to calm me down and break through pain) and Ambien for sleep. You need to make sure your mom and doctor know that you are not getting enough relief. And you may need to go on a leave from school until you get the pain under control. I had to leave work for a few weeks until I could get on meds I could tolerate. Good Luck and if you need to talk; please email me!

you could possibly have ADD its very treatable

I have RSD in both legs and feet and I do understand.
I'm so sorry that you have been afflicted with this so young.
Are you being treated in a pain management clinic? You should be. If so, please ask your doc for a referral to a therapist that specializes in chronic pain patients. No, I'm not saying you're crazy but I do think you should see a therapist who understands the challenges you face. Mine gave me some great tools, I have learned visualization and relaxation techniques that help me to function through the pain.
You might also consider joining a chronic pain support group where you will meet and be able to talk to other people who have RSD and other chronic pain disorders. If you don't have a local support group you can google "chronic pain support groups" and find several online.
Are you past the two year mark or do they think the RSD might go away? If you've had it long enough so that you know it's permanent you might want to ask your pain doctor about the possibility of a spinal stimulator. It's a medical device that has to be surgically implanted, it's not an option for everyone but it might be something to consider. And please, think about seeing a therapist. If this is going to be permanent you will have a long road ahead, people frequently suffer depression upon realizing their life will be different than they planned on.
You might consider home schooling but if you do don't just shut yourself in. Find activities that you can participate in that will keep you out around other people.
Good luck to you
