Free CPR course online?!

Question: Does anyone know of a website where I would be able to get CPR certified? It would also be better if it were free, or really low price. This is for being a counselor over summer. Thank you!

some nursing homes and hospitals offer free courses. chech with your ambulence shed they hold classes and they can lead you to a good free or cheap spot. you can not and i no this as an emt get certified over the net leageally. cpr is a hands on course and you have to actually be able to show your instucture you no what you are doing. please try like i said hospital, nursinghome,or ambulence shed they hold classes all the time. some colleges have fairly reasonably priced classes. hope this helps you. good luck its a really good thing to learn:)

There isn't one. I wish there was. You need to take one through your local Red Cross and they usually are free or inexpensive.

You can't do CPR online!

There are no online CPR courses because to become certified you need to actually practice on a dumby. You may be able to find an online guide on how to do it, but be careful because the CPR guidelines change frequently. Most classes offered by local first aid squad/ fire co. or the Red Cross/ American Heart Association are free or no more then probally $60. Go on a web site for any of the previous organizations to find a class to get into.

No there is no online cpr cerifacation classes. CPR standereds are changeing so fast that they would not be able to keep up with them online. Plus in order to be certified you do need to do the inclass. There are so many different things in your chest that if you brake it it will kill you so you have to have everything just right. I just completed my emt training and just in the past 4 years from when idid first responder it has changed drasticly. And for the regular cavilian to do it now its a hole different ball game then a trained ems person.
