Why does doing sit ups hurt my lower back?!


Question: It's because you're unconsciously using your lowerback instead of your abs. I have the same problem too!!
Try lying on the ground, and make sure your lower back is flat on the ground; there shouldn't be any space between your back and the ground!!
Then, keeping that in mind, bend your knees and fold your arms over your head to do the situps!
