Help! Im so tired!?!


Question: I am 17 and 1/2 weeks pregnant! I go to sleep around 9 each night but when it comesw to the morning I can not wake up! I am always late and Then to add to that I fall asleep on the job/?!! any suggestions and why is this happening?

Congratulations! Firstly your prenatal checks should determine the reason for your tiredness, such as anemia (which can make you extremely tired regardless how much sleep you get) etc. If all is well on the health front, like the previous posters state, mild exercise, night stroll etc will make you sleep deeper! Check what your eating in the hours near to bed time, dairy products and caffeine can effect your sleep. Finally a nice hot bath/shower is very relaxing with chamomile or lavender products for bath/bedroom to aid the relaxation process! Good luck

Edit: Also for the day anything with lots of vitamin c ie- juices, fruits etc will boost your energy levels. Fruit yogurt and sipping water at regular intervals throughout the day will help too!

Your 17 and just getting into pregnancy! Nothing more to it. Your a young women, and lots of things are happening in your body, it just has lots of hormones flying and things changing, part of being pregnant.

you can eat more protein, like salmon or fish in general. protein gives you energy so protein bars should help too. go to bed early, and try to exercise too. don't do anything too exercise-ish because your pregnant, but walk around near your house in the morning and evening, and that should give you energy.
