Stiff shoulder...that wont go away..?!


Question: ive got this stiff shoulder but the pain is still there , its been 3 days now and i usually would expect it to have eased after a day. Its quite uncomfortable, what can i do to ease it and should i still have this pain?

I get this in my neck and shoulder quite often. I use either a hot water bottle or heat up a wheat bag.

This very much depends on how you came to 'injure' your shoulder in the first place. If the injury was caused by (for instance) lifting something awkwardly and you continue to perform that task, then obviously the pain you are experiencing is bound to continue until you cease that particular activity.

Go to your doc and ask for physio , I had similar problems and got some posture exercises and haven't had any pain since. touchwood

Three days is a very short time for an injury to heal, especially as you may still be using the shoulder. It is difficult to isolate the shoulder joint to any great degree.
Try using an ice pack on the painfull area (no more than 10 minutes every 2 hours) and do not put the ice directly on to bare skin.
