How do you know if you've snapped ligaments in your hip?!

Question: I was pushed forward on a rowing machine at the gym causing me to suddenly extend forward beyond my usual reach. I felt about two crackles (I didn't hear them) to the left of my lower back in the hip area. I didn't feel pain at the time either. Could this have been ligaments snapping or just passing over each other and then passing back?

Possible just a snap. If it doesn't hurt, it has little chance of being a snapped ligament. So for now, if it doesn't hurt, don't worry as much, butto be on the safe side, you may want to get an X-ray.

The ligaments in your hips are the strongest one in the body. Womens hips are different then mens because we are built for child bearing. I would think by now you would have felt some pain but i can refer you to this site to read about the blood vessels in the hips and it shows the joint itself then you can pinpoint where you felt the snapping.
