I cant sleep...?!


Question: recently its been hard for me to get to sleep and when i do get to sleep its hard for me to stay asleep. i dont know whats wrong. im going to bed my usual times. but its getting worse. last night i only got 3 hours of sleep. whats wrong?

You probably have a lot on your mine and go to bed turning things around and around. Are you having any problems? If not lets try this; If you have a TV in your room, shut it off. Any music, turn it off. Keep the room dark and in your mine start thinking of relaxing things and forget all else. Don't drink anything with caffiene in it like pop, or eat anything, especially chocolate before retiring. Now imagine yourself relaxing in a hot tub, water warm and cozy, jets from the tub pounding so gently against your body. Lay your head back and think of wonderful things that you enjoy and have missed for some time. Or imagine yourself painting large wide and tall letters like S or G or numbers like 8 or 3. Using your favorite color, take a paint brush and begin to paint. With your eyes follow the movement of the brush. When one number or letter is painted completely, move on to another. It's sort of like they say, count sheep. That may be alright to some, but for me it is watching those sheep with my eyes, starting with where they stand, to up over the fence to where they land, then catch the next one. The painting usually does it for me. If I wake up through the middle of the night, I start painting again, and back to sleep I go. try taking a sleeping pill. If it persists, see a doctor.

Periodically, I have the same problem. It gets worse and worse. What I do is stay up one night. That is, I don't go to bed at all. The next night I am so tired that I generally go to bed as soon as I get home from work and sleep through until morning. Actually, that's what I did last night. I feel much better now.

the last few days i've had the same problem.. :(
