What do i do about road burn?!
Question: i was playing soccer on the road with some of my friends and it was getting really intense and someone triped me and my knees and palms got really scraped up. my hand are healing but my knee is still drainging. when will it stop? when i put a bandage on it for the day it sticks to the opening. i think that could be a reason why it is not scabing over but what should i put on it that will not stick but will protect it from getting on my dress pants when i am at work? also what can i put put on it to make it heal faster? thank you

put some antibacterial ointment on it, and cover it with a bandage while you are at work. When you get home, clean it off, and put some hydrogen peroxide on it to clean it out comletely. Allow it to stay open while you are at home, because the air will help it dry up and scab over. If it is draining, like puss or other white or yellow liquid, you really need to keep it clean! that means it is infected. Just repeat the peroxide every hour or so during the evening to make sure that it stays clean. good luck!
During the day keep it covered with vaseline. at night it is really important to keep it uncovered to allow it to heal. Be sure to keep it clean too.
