Be very careful with any of this natural detox stuff. I lost a very dear friend last August when she went overboard listening to these people. I understand these are the ones being sold on TV but my friend found something similiar or the same thing on the Internet before the infomercials began. Then the people who sold them to her recommended an herbal detox program that resulted in muliple organ failure. I doubt the foot pads can hurt but don't listen to anything else they try to sell you.
I was wondering about this, too and I read that the darkening of these pads occurs when you get them wet, so it isn't really the "toxins" in your body being absorbed into the pad, it's just sweat from your feet.
