Yes, Yes, and Yes. Some people actually need more than 8 cups of water daily, depending on how active they are.

Basically, drinking 8 cups (8 oz) of water daily ensures that your body is getting enough water to run properly. Your cells need water to do everything, essentially, so getting all that water in will ensure that your body isn't having to struggle for its resources. If you get all your water in, your cells can work better, meaning that in addition to your skin regaining its healthy luster, you'll retain less water (meaning healthier salt and pH levels in your tissues, along with less bloat), boost your metabolism slightly, and help all your bodily systems (muscular, skeletal, respiratory, excretory, etc...) work their best.

And yes, you will have to go to the bathroom more, but that's actually more healthy for you anyway. Once your body realizes it's getting the right amount of water each day, your trips to the bathroom will settle down a bit (not entirely, but enough to be tolerable). Going to the bathroom frequently (assuming it's because you're getting a lot of water, and not because of a health issue) means that your kidneys, liver, and excretory organs are flushing out your body regularly, which is a good sign.

Don't stop drinking your water! It's easier to spread your glasses out across the day (2 for breakfast, 2 for lunch, 2 for dinner, then 2 more whenever you feel like it works well for me) than to try to cram them in before you go to sleep; it's healthier that way too. If you're tired of plain water, you can drink milk, teas, and fruit juices--those can all be "substituted" for water, but you want to make sure that those drinks aren't saturated with sugar or calories. Make sure your teas are as un-tampered with as possible if you're using them to replace some of your 8 glasses a day.

Good luck!

It depends on how much you weigh/how tall you are. Google it, you'll find a chart outlining how much you should drink.

Yeah it does, but you got to eat healthy also

it helps your body a lot if you don't chug it

It helps with the skin, digestion, constipation, headaches, detox, hydration. So many things! Yes, it helps. Do it.

Drinking this much water keeps you hydrated and it also makes you feel full so you won't eat as much.

it can be bad for your kidneys!

This is just a myth, its only suggested to keep your body from dehydrating. But you get fluids from the foods and teas, and other juices that you consume.

when your thirsty drink; when your not don't

Na, its all fake. If you drank 8 glasses of water every day, you'd need to pee every 1 and a half hours! It may be GDA but its impossible. (:

If you listen to the news then we don't need 8 glasses a day.

Doctors are now saying that drinking 8 glasses of water doesn't do much but only keep u hydrated and flushes out your system but doctors say it doesn't help to lose weigh.

haha. i spent last summer drinking 8+ glasses of water, and yeah, i agree, more trips to the restroom. However, i felt better, and I didn't have as many headaches as I typically do (i get daily headaches - i actually believe its from dehydration).

I think its really good for you, but it doesn't have to be 8 glasses. I recently heard a news report that that's too generic of a number - that each person is different. On hot, sweaty days, drink alot more. On a cold, unactive day, I'm sure 4-5 glasses is just fine.

It does make you feel better though.

apparently, a lot of those 8 glasses of water is contained in our food so we don't need to substitue it if we eat well...... just drink more alcohol - that'll make your skin glow ;-)

no way i used to beleive it to until i watched on panorama it was a lie!!!!!!!!!! TVs always right

LOL

from tillzxx

they are now starting to say that drinking too much water is not good neither... go figure, they change their minds every now and then..

My opinion is that It's way better to eat less salt , eat more fruits and veg, NO smoking.. then your skin will look at his best.

If your liver doesn't feel good and is working overtime, your skin won't look good.

Actually there is no evidence to support this information that drinking that much water a day is good for you! I heard this on the radio the other day, they now say as long as you drink a reasonable amount, just a glass or so, this is plenty.

yhh it does and it makes u feel better with less head aches i found lol plus if u keep going to the washroom lol it takes a while for your body 2 get used to the ampount of water

well its supposed to be good for you , at least it will not kill ya !!!

it helps with circulation in the blood and digestive system to flow freely and healthy!!!

Water may not make it glow but if you don't get enough water your skin may get dry and itchy, especially in the winter.

Water has always been my first choice for drinking, I just love it and I do have clear skin (I get compliments on my skin all of the time from strangers and friends alike). My mother-in-law told me just last week that she heard that it's not healthy to drink that much water, but I'll continue drinking a lot just the same. It also helps to flush toxins from your body.

No of course it's no good for you. People say these things in the media just to muck you right up. you only need what your body is asking for. Take no notice honest there's so much daft talk about.

I have not heard that. All it seems to do is make me use the bathroom a ton of times during the day.

It does absolutely nothing, your body needs 2 litres of water a day is can be in tea, coffee, juices and even salads. water on its own does no more than any other drink.

Of course it is, how can it not be, if you dont drink water you dehydrate, try sipping it now gulping it down then you wont be off the the loo every two seconds!

Look it cant do you any harm. A doctor once told me that our bodies need watering like plants. So, drink as much water as you can - its better for you than whiskey or gin.
