depends on what exactly your problem is.
if you fall asleep, but you wake up quite a lot, try passion flower. there's pills, or tea, or whatever. makes you really calm, and if you fall asleep you won't wake up as easily as usually, but you'll still wake up to an alarm clock.
and it's great because you can't get addicted, there's no adverse effects and stuff like that, so you can basically take as much as you like without anything bad happening.

if you can't fall asleep, you might need some "real" sleeping pills, though.
the ones I use are called vantage sleep aid, and they work great for me. they make me really tired after 15 or 20 minutes, but I still don't have problems to wake up and the effect wears off quickly enough.

but no matter what you take, make sure you don't take it every night and you never take more than the package insert says you should.

Try something natural - Brauer make pretty decent products :)

lol, take talynol PM. It puts some people to sleep quickly, and it wears off within 4-5 hours. :)

I wouldn't take tylenol PM unless you have pain. Taking a pain med especially tylenol can reak havok on your liver and stomach. All the "pm" ingredient in tylenol pm is diphenhydramine, when is benadryl. It's pretty safe and is the same strength. I've taken two benedryl 25mg lots of times to help me sleep. Just make sure you're not allergic to anti-histamines. They are great to help you sleep and won't leave you groggy in the morning or cause you to be be "knocked out" for 8 hours. They last only 4 hours anyway. My pharmacist suggested it to me and I use it from time to time. I did research on it and it claims to be the safest of most sleeping pills. Most sleeping pills contain diphenhydramine (benedryl), if you look at their ingredients. Or you could try the new natural pills they sell at walmart, kinda pricey and they use melatonin which calms you and makes you drowsy but taking too much melatonin isn't safe.

the one major conclusion from all studies is that people that suffer from sleeplessness are better off without sleeping pills than they are with them.

The following information points out some important reasons why sleeping pills should not be considered.

Those who use sleeping pills have significantly higher mortality rates than those who do not

Sleeping pills (& even the newer generations) do little or nothing to improve chronic sleep problems and cause long-term chemical dependency

Sleeping pills reduce brain cell activity during the day, affecting short-term memory as well as causing a hangover effect

Anyone over the age of 40 should be cautioned against sleeping pills, and anyone over the age of 65 should never take sleeping pills.

Sleeping pills create a hypnotic dependency similar to alcohol and lower inhibitions and fear of pain or consequences. This is one reason why sleeping pills contribute to accidents and why chronic sleeping pill users are less likely to worry or take care of themselves

Sleeping pills are highly addictive.

Side Effects of Sleeping Pills- impair consciousness, judgment, memory and intelligence.
