Should I go back to the E.R.?!

Question: I am having right upper abdominal pain which is NOT releaved by percocet. I have been weak and vomiting everytime I eat for 2 days. The pain is form my right upper abdomine, down to my lower right abdomine, down into my thighs. I went to the ER last night and they did blood work and CT last night and gave me meds for pain and nausea, and sent me home and said everything was ok, I have a small cyst on right ovary but that has been there for years. So should I go back to the ER? Please help me!

IF you do not have regular a health care provider, then yes if you believe the pain is not subsiding or it is getting worse. To let this go might be akin to messing with your well being, your very life!! Return and ask them to please help you and to not treat your health and pain symptoms with a band-aid. Did they give you a doctor to follow up with? What did the ER list your problem as? Flu? Needing further examination? Hhmmm? Making me wonder?
I'd return and let them know this is not working..my Very BEST to YOU...may you recover quickly

You could have an infected appendix. Not sure but you should go back to check. You can DIE if it explodes. Go Now!

Please go back.
You are not OK if you are weak and vomiting. Things can change overnight. Go back and get checked in and keep pestering them until they admit you.
If nothing else, if you can not keep anything down it might be in your best interest to spend the night on IV fluids- if you vmoit everything up, you may not be able to keep meds in long enough for them to work, They can give them in fluids.

Please go

Pain related to ovaries should only appear below the umbilicus. Upper abdominal pain can pretty certainly be ruled as not gynecology related. RUQ pain -- obviously they ruled out cholecystitis (gallbladder), but it's possible you just have a stomach virus. If the pain continues and isn't relieved, it would make sense to return... unless you have a follow up appointment. If you don't, it might be a good idea to schedule yourself a clinic appointment with your family practitioner instead. ER is for new onset emergencies.

I would definately get a second opinion, it could be your apendix, although it should have shown up on your blood work. It could be a tubular pregnancy, if you are sexually active. I would not wait, please go and get a second opinion. Sometimes you can get an intern and they are known to sometimes mis diagnose. Be sure to look after yourself, could be something simple, or complex you need to be sure. Good Luck to you and hope all is well.
