Clinical examination findings that suggest a diagnosis leading to hospitalization include retinal detachment (can be seen with ophthalmoscope). Other findings that suggest presence of an intracranial bleed (subdural or extradural hematoma) include: altered level of consciousness, weakness or sensory changes in a limb or more, lack of motor coordination, etc.
