Mothers suffering from arthritis?!
Question: What is daily life like struggling with children and you having arthritis and what do you take to manage your pain? Daily routines with children and how to keep Department of Family and Children Services off your back from taking prescribed medication? I'm suffering from ankylosing spondilytis and fibromyalgia and DFCS has taken my children because they feel my medications are unnecessary. What do I do?

Have your doctor write a statement to give to them. The need to hear from a professional that the meds are required.
I'm no lawyer, but I am a pharmacist. I would definitely higher a lawyer if that is TRULY the only reason they have taken your kids away. This doesn't make sense to me. What about the physician that prescribed them for you. Won't he back you up? You may have a definite problem if you have gotten controlled meds from more than one physician. That is a red flag. Especially if the docs aren't backing you up.
How exactly does the DFCS make medical decisions now. Are you taking the meds under a doctors supervision? I've never heard of doing that unless there was proof of abusing the drugs. If you are under a doctors supervision and have legal Rx's you need to call Legal Aid or contact your local Bar Assoc. Referral Service. If you take your medical records with you to the hearing the judge will make the determination not a social worker.
