Did I tear my minskus?!

Question: I'm not sure how you spell it, but the thing in your knee.
Yesterday I jumped and I felt like a rubber band snapping in the back of my knee. And now when I walk it cracks.
Did I tear or break something? Or is it just like a sprain?
It hurts so bad. So any ideas on how to take care of it besides icing?

I have torn my miniscus before, and it does hurt. However the miniscus is located sandwiched between your upper leg bone and lower leg bone in the joint. NOT behind your knee... this could be a strain, sprain, or tear in yur ACL and/or BCL tendons or ligaments. THE BEST WAY TO CHECK THIS is to GO TO YOUR DOCTOR!! He should right a script for a CT Scan or MRI. Go before it gets worse like mine did!

no prob Report It

  • If it felt like a rubber band snapping, you probably tore your meniscus. You will need surgery if you did. You need to go get it checked out, seriously.

Take ibueprofen for pain. You either tore your meniscus or a ligament. You need to get to a doctor to get that looked at.
