Recreating a serious injury with makeup ??!
Question: For my college work I am having to recreate a serious injury with makeup, prosthetics etc. Some of the others in the class are doing victims of a car crash, self harm etc.
Or anything quite desturbing.
Any ideas ????

We did a mock bleachers collapsing disaster when I was in college, (I have a sports medicine degree).
They had professional makeup artists come in and it turned out really well. So maybe you can find someone for that.
Otherwise, any sort of blue powder/white powder makeup is really good for recreating shock victims/cyan lips/face, etc.
Fake blood is always good.
Skin colored liquid latex can be used to form bumps and dislocations.
Open fractures you might need to buy a set for, look at halloween or discount stores (check online since its out of season)
Get slings and splints and scissors you could do something about the aftermath of the accidents and put people in different 'disfiguring positions" with splints and braces and fake bloody guaze and gloves. You could pretend to be the medical personel, etc. Get fake media people trying to interview at the scene.
well my mate is in the army and they do bullet wounds and cut throats. i tell u it looks pretty real and disturbing. u could try that
