If you can - get off that damn MS Contin, and ask for percocet again. just ask to increase the dosage a little or if you are having more pain, Otherwise, there is another med for immediate release when in pain called OXYIR and from experience, generally they prescribe the 2 of them together...

If you have more percocet, You are probably safe taking 1 or 2.
GET AHOLD OF THE DR before you self medicate though.

Suggestions,
Ask for the Pain patch (Duragesic-fentanyl)
It is much more reliable, easier on the stomach, last longer(up to 72 hrs)

I totally know what you are going thru, I have had like 8 surgeries in the past 3 yrs and one just recently as December, and 2 weeks ago, wanna talk, i'd be glad to

The other meds arent much good either.. i have totally gotten off of them because I had a spinal column stimulator implanted and for most the results are gratifying. (also on high dose patch )

who is looking after your pain meds your gp consultant or other i can offer some support i have been on morphine level pain relief for over 20 years but need to know above tell me what you can about the person looking after you and why / what they are trying to do will try and reply by 5ish

I dont know why you are on sooooooooo many pain meds and a depression med and a nerve medication, but there is nooooooo way you can be taking all of this medication at the same time and still be breathing. You may need to see a 2nd physician, because if this much pain medicine has not made you stop breathing yet it soon will. Many people do not know this but pain medicine decreases your respiratory drive in your brain, and if you take too much it will make you stop breathing. Oxycontin is an awful drug and I am soory if you have had to resort to taking it. It changes the way your brain interprets pain. No pain meds take the pain away, they fill up your receptors so the pain messages can not get through. Good luck.
