its not sleep, he fainted because he had too much CO2 and not enough oxygen

It is not sleep. It is fainting from induced low blood pressure.

It is a lack of oxygen to the brain, then when they stand up the oxygen rushes back to the brain and causes the person to pass out!

yes, #2 is passing out, just like the first answerer said. this "game" as all the craze about 15 years ago when I was like 13. i learned it at school and all of my friends and i were doing it to eachother. it can be dangerous.

No idea, but I think it has to do with the nerve system. The place where friend #2 hit friend#1 was probably on the back and right below the neck. There are lots and lots of nerves going up there. If you hit one really hard you'll blovk it maybe and a part of the brain simply "falls out".
I don't know why he made friend #1 sit and breathe deeply. Maybe to make him relax. Then the muscles on the neck are loos and you's hit a nerve more easily.
But you have to ne skilled to do that. Tell firend #2 I think it's really cool. (except the falling down of friend#1 and htting his head)

Men that was due to insufficient air, when the person took that breath he was already getting tired at the 4th one the person managed to get up to the 10th one. it was just faintaining not sleep because the person would stay up to some minutes before breathing properly although it would be called partial faintaing but there is the ation there.
The person might be suffering from what we call panic disorder
Many people with panic disorder breathe shallowly, which may lead to increased anxiety and even panic (see Panic and Hyperventilation). This technique will help you learn the right way to breathe -- deeply and with your diaphragm.
