Exactly how bad is sleep deprivation?!

If you're having trouble sleeping and your family or you do(es) not have a history of drug dependency then I would advise that you contact a doctor and see if you can get sleeping pills.

If it is not insomnia, but simply sleep deprivation then it will have the same effects as insomnia, affecting your lifestyle and habits in a negative way. I would advise that you get some sleep.

i havent sleep for a few days..(cause i went to hawaii i was in the airport the whole night and morning..) and ive been busy catching up...so itss been like two days and today and now im messed up in the head..but ive always been

From what ive heard, the less you sleep the more your body breaks down, Thinking becomes harder. In the long term you can die (Supposedly) from lack of sleep.

Three days wouldn't cause any permanent damage,but most likely you would become extremely irritable.

I had a temporary job once where I got three hours of sleep
a day for two weeks. That was my only experience with sleep
deprivation. I lost my appetite and twenty pounds in the process. Not fun.

The longer it last the more serious it is. You can have a heart attached because your body hasn't had a chance to rest because when you sleep your heart rate drops.

3 days sleep deprovation will effect your mind more than your body, you could start seeing shadows from the corner of your eyes, and getting a little paranoid, your mind looses the ability to function with lack of sleep, faster than your body, which is why people can fall to sleep while standing up, as in their brain as closed down before their body.
